: I would like to know of any help groups and help retreats for mothers recently diangnosed with ADD? In addition, how the family would go about informing the mother of them. She is on a downward spiral and in need of help immediately?

: Need help despartly!

: It sounds like the diagnosis has caused her more problems than the ADD. It sound like she has become very depressed. The first thing I would suggest is that she see a Psychiatrist ASAP and let the doctor help her initially. As far as support groups for adults they are not that prevalent but they are out there you need to look hard or may have to travel a good distance to get there. When I lived in Houston TX a city of 2 million people there was only one group I could find and I had to drive 45 minutes. But if you find a good group it is worth it. Good Luck!!!!!
