I would go to a neurologist as soon as you can. I don't want to alarm you but this sounds like a form of Epilepsy. Most people associate Epilepsy with seizures but some types are more subtle and many times observers mistake an episode as day dreaming. Don't worry too much it may not be the case and there is medication if it is.
