: My 16 year old daughter is seeing a therapist who suggests that my daughter may have ADD. She is suggesting adderall as medication. I read somewhere that the Pfeiffer Institute treats ADD with vitamins and minerals. Does anyone have experience with this institute? I would rather try this before I use anphetamines. I'm afraid she may become addicted to them.
My fourteen year old daughter was on Adderall, and she never became "addicted".
It was hard enough just getting her to take the medication. My family and I have used
vitamins and herbal treatments over the years ( I don't have my allergy problems like I used to!)
But right now I feel not everything can be fixed by a strict diet, extra minerals, and vitamins.
I really believe that ADD is hererity (sp). I have been living with this disorder forever. You
can see my previous long winded post. Sometimes you know in your head what is best for you.
Good luck finding about these treatments. If you have success please post it.
