Why won't you use Ritalin? My son takes it and it works fine. If it's all the bad press Ritalin gets, you need to do you own research. I use Effexor to treat my ADD and it works well for me. The only side effect I have is nausea. There are other potential side effects however. Educate yourself as best you can on all treatments being offered soyou can make a decision. Sometimes it will be done by trial and error. what works for one person will not work for another. My daughter takes adderal and it works great for her. Hope this helps some.
