Maryellen,
Get yourself and your son help as soon as possible. I would like to suggest you get a book called "Driven to Distraction" by Edward M. Hallowell. It will give you a lot of info on this disorder. I was diagnosed at the age of 30, six years ago. It is a great feeling to know what the problem has been all of these years, but the work has only begun when you do find out. There are medications that can help and you will have to change the way you see things. We don't do things like "normal" people and have to stop trying to. Talk to your sons pediatrician first. He should be able to help a lot. If not, find a psychiatrist familiar with ADD. There is a lot of information available as well as support groups. Educate yourself as best you can.

Good Luck,
Toad
