: : I have been withdrawing from 5 mgs of methadone (for overe 25 years) for the last 20 days. However, I did have percocet to help for a while because I had been prescribed the pain killer for recent lung surgery. (I HAVE lung cancer). Now, my surgical doctor won't refill the scrip and my primary doctor has reservations about it. I've already know how to withdraw from the percocet (if necessary) and what I can get from health food store). I don't know how to get some percocet for the withdrawal and ability to sleep at night.
: Why not have a few drinks to tide you over and help with the sleep?
Milly: A lot has happened since that post. I now have 38 days clear of methadone. However, my oncologist gave me a scrip for 100 percocet one week ago. I am so afraid of feeling the withdrawal from the methadone, and not sleeping at night, even after 38 days. I don't even know if I am addicted. (After a week?) I take 2 1/2 pills in the am and same in pm when I come from work, sometimes with Corona. I bought some vodka which I refuse to open..........yet. I remember seeing something on one of the chat lists that taking valerian from the health food store and something else (I can't remember) to ease off the Percocet. Well, I'll try cutting down anyway.
