my wife recently became hooked on percocet and oxycodone and was taking them for several months and visiting emergency rooms on a regular basis. Upon being caught by me she entered herself into an outpatient group and they put her on a special medication that helps the withdrawals --she was taking at least 8 per day and has suffered no withdrawals at all while on this medication. It is buprenorphine --you may want to ask a doctor about it--pretty expensive but has worked great so far
