Any prescribable amount of Xanax is addictive, even in the lowest form .25mg. You say that 14 years ago you went through alcohol withdrawal. Well, I beleive anyone who has ever had a problem with alcohol should never take Xanax. Xanax, after all, is a benzodiazepine which is what doctors prescribe to releive alcohol withdrawal.
Only my opinions, but I have had alcohol withdrawal syndrome more than once and have taken 3 different drugs in the benzodiazepine class.
