: : I was addicted to cocaine - first started by snorting, then shooting it and smoking it. Once I started, I couldn't stop, and I lost so much. My children live with their dad, I lost my job, been arrested several times - almost lost my life. I am in recovery, have a great support group, but sometimes I feel so sad. I need to talk to people who understand - sometimes AA just doesn't cut it for me.

: i to am addicted to cocaine.i am not using now and i am in therapy, but i know its a day to day battle. i don't like going to AA either for me it has never worked, but that could very well be because i hate having to ask anyone for help. maybe you hate asking too. i know only to well how badly coke can mess up a perfectly good life.GOOD LUCK

Thans for th message - but I must tell you, the message that I got is GO TO MEETINGS. Lots of them. Find a sponsor. Do 90 meetings in 90 days - that is the message I got from recovered addicts, and it seems to be working. (6 weeks sober the right way this time..)I made a committment to go to an AA or NA meeting every day to myself and one other person - I live on Cape COd and there aren't many NA meetings so all the addicts (and there are lots!) go to AA. If I don't like one meeting I go to another. I don't want this stupid disease to take anything more from me. Keep in touch.
