What do you think of meetings? I never really believed that I would ever have to attend a meeting, or that it would help me, but I think I'm at the point where I can get this under control before it gets really bad. Have any of you ever gone to an addiction meeting? Did it help?
It's strange, I went to cocaineanonymous.org and they have this self-test for addiction (I know that these things aren't real diagnoses), but I took it and was laughing that I answered "yes" to everything but three questions. Within 48 hrs of that, I had answered "yes" to all of them. So, how exactly does one start to clean up? I think the scariest thing is my friends, I know that I can't break from them.
The thing is, I think all 4 of us have the same feeling -- that our "recreational" use is beginning to spiral. Perhaps we could all clean up? I suppose that's a pipe dream.
