Dear Lola,

I am in the same boat as you. I'm a "smoker" of over twenty years. You may have read my story, it's in several threads of this board.

I wanted to address the fact that you take antidepressants, and smoke pot. I, too, did that. I've been lying to my psychiatrist for years. He refuses to treat my depression with medication if I continue to use pot. You see, you can't tell if your meds are truly working, unless you stop interfering with your serotonin levels of your brain. You won't be able to truly see who you are, and what state your depression is in, until you quit.

My husband and I had "quit" for the past two months, not a great amount of time, but good for us. Then, twice in two weeks, we did it again. I know the remorse and anger you must be feeling. You, like me, are probably tired of this merry go round of pot addiction. If you'd like to talk privately, please post an email address, and I'll contact you.
