: I have been able to quit smoking for long periods three times in my life-three pregnancies and births until the boys hit around a year and then I'd start. Since then I have tried Zyban, the patch, hypnosis, cold turkey, financially unable and still managing to get the cigarettes.I am very frustrated and angry at self. I hate smoking-the taste, the smell, the yucky feeling but still I smoke!I have been a sober alcoholic for 2 years 11 months but cannot seem to apply the same "program" to quitting smoking. Any suggestions? Thank you.

This may sound strange, but I drank cranberry juice 5 years ago when I quit. Any time I wanted a cigarette (often) I would drink cranberry juice. why does it work? Have you ever had cranberry juice and a cigarette? IT IS F*****G nasty!!! So I drank cranberry juice and got a different taste in my mouth. Good luck
Anne
