You must remember that the brain(just like a computer)is the wiring of the body(including the nerves that carry pain) and contains cells that produce chemicals such as endorphines(natural pain killers)when one takes pain killers these cells that now have no use(getting pain killers in a pill,heroin,vicodin etc.)become dormant or shut down.The mind(consiousness,thoughts etc.) through the brain controls and regulates all the cells in the body(like a CEO)what i am trying to say is that your mind can repair,shut off pain pathways,and order the dormant cells to wake up.Drugs are never the answer because we have a larger pharmacy(millions+ chemicals)within us.Keep thinking about this and i will write more about this later,but first step is to refelct on what is being said here.
