Buddy you need to get to a doctor and explain what is going on. They might have something to get you through the withdraw symptoms. I too install floorcovering and know the physical demands that that type of work demands.
I think the first step is saying that you have a problem, now just let a doctor walk through this with you. I think they will respect your honesty. I would like to cut 300 dollars per week out of my floorcovering budget per week for something that might kill me. I think you are on the right track. Just ask your doctor to help and if he will not, get to another.
That is what I did and my doctor really worked hard for and supported me through the bad times. It is always a struggle, but hang in there. It took years for me to get where I was and it will not change overnight..
