If he is not able to detox himself by cutting back on the number of pills he is taking, then he needs to go into a detox. Call the substance abuse department of any major hospital and they should be able to give you information. The Yellow Pages have listings of Drug and Alcohol facilities. With enough phone calls and luck, you are sure to find one that will work for him. Helath insurance shouldn't be a factor. Most large communities offer detoxes even for low-income addicts. Good luck.
