Dear Diana,

You most certainly can use Paxil and Zyban(which is the same as Wellbutrin) to quit smoking. I am taking the two drugs right now.

Wellbutrin is used very commonly with Paxil to counteract sexual side effects, sleepiness and weight gain. If you need to quit smoking as well, that's just another added bonus.

I didn't start taking Wellbutrin for smoking, but have noticed that the rare times that I do smoke (about once a month) it's not as enjoyable as it used to be. I don't know where you heard that you can't mix Paxil and Zyban/Wellbutrin, but you got incorrect information.

Take Care, Heather V.
P.S.
you should check out the healthboards depression site if you haven't already
