I can empathize with your issue. Food addiction can be just as big a problem as drug/alcohol addiction. My husband is a drug addict and alcoholic and I am a carbohydrate addict. I just realized this when I got the book Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program. I keep a food journal and have realized when I become obsessed with food (usually when I am bored).
Anyway, have you tried to write down everything you eat during the day? By doing this and following the book's program, my cravings have diminised substantially and the program is relatively easy. You can eat anything you want, you just change the time/timing in which you eat them.
The most important thing to remember, is don't be too hard on yourself. Please feel free to email me personally if you need to talk to someone or need support of any kind.
Be good to yourself!
: i am addicted to food. I know this isn't smoking or drinking... but it's still an addiction and i honestly don't know how to control it. any suggestions? i really appreciate it.
