Dear hurting mom:
I don't know about the liver part, but I just got back from treatment at Loma Linda Univ. Behavioral Medicine Center for addiction to opiates and chronic pain. They are the only place in the country that treats both. They also just treat addiction if that's all that's going on. Does your husband suffer from chronic pain? They were wonderful! I've geen clean for 63 days and finally have my life back. Those opiates no longer control me. If your husband thinks that he is in control, he';s only kidding himself. Tell him this. Everytime he steals from his friends he is commiting 2 felonies worth 25 years in prison and $25,000 fine. Have him e-mail me back. I speak from great experience. I just got out of jail for the same, and might have to go back. You need to play hardball with him. He has to be willing to do it for himself, but you also need to not enable him. Get out of there until he gets treatment, and serious treatment. I've been ther, done that. Let me know. God doesn't want you living with him and enabling him. Even if you don't think you are, believe me, you are. Godspeed!
