: The only long-term effect I've noticed is a bronchitis type cough, and times when I totally "space" whatever's going on.

I smoked mary jane fom 1965 to 1975. I quit because of the adverse side effects, spaced out, anxiety, inability to concentrate, diminished higher level thinking, loss of self esteem from noy being incontrol of myself, some depression.
It took motivation to quit but he physical withdrawals were mild compared to cigarette withdrawal. I had to want to quit more than I wanted to smoke both with cigarettes and marijuana.
