Personally I have been both helped by medication and healed of so-called incurable illnesses (as well as addictions) without medication for me to judge what another person needs. I know that spiritual help has never hurt me in either case. I did not see anyone tell that person to stop taking life-saving drugs if they were needed for that purpose.
That was his/her own idea and we do not know this person's true needs or situation.
In my opinion no one should blindly take the advice of ANYONE without careful consideration, doctors included, who are but mere humans.
I appreciate that you added your opinion to that discussion as this exchange of ideas is what keeps a balance and helps each of us to determine our personal direction and choices. Certainly one may stress one's own opnion without putting down others and that is what is asked.
This is a support board not a professional advice board, and if anyone uses the board as other than that they misuse it. The message board guidelines clearly advises everyone to not take advice from posters they do not even know without checking it out first for themselves. We are each responsible to do so.
Thanks for your very good question.
