P.S. About 7 years ago I was drinking 2 pots of coffee a day and then 3-5 cans of Diet Coke after that. Gee, I kind of realized that may not be good for me. I thought I'd offer that reference point since 2 coffees and one Diet Coke is nothing compared to *that.* Julie.

: Yes, unfortunately caffeine is addictive. Every time I pull myself off of coffee or soda with caffeine in it, I experience tightness in the head and some headaches. The headaches usually show up around 2 hours after my normal, routine time of ingesting the caffeine. I either go through the discomfort or I wean myself off of it.

: Maybe the first 3 days I'll have two cups of coffee in the morning and the Diet Coke at 3:00 PM as usual. Then I'll break it down to 1.5 cups of coffee and only 1/2 the can of Diet Coke. I continue to decrease until I can get back to just fruit juices instead of caffeine. This seems to be my painless way of trying to get off it. I hope this helps. Julie.

: : Help, I need to know if caffeine is addictive or not, because if it is I think I am addicted.
: : But how does one know for sure? I've been drinking it a lot lately and now I can't go a day without
: : drinking pop. I need it, I get all tense if I don't have it but when I do get it, I calm down. Please help me.
