I need help. My mom has been an alcoholic for a very long time. She stopped drinking and went to AA on and off, but she started drinking again. A few months ago I came to visit her for the weekend and found her face down in the bathroom, dead drunk. It basically scared the shit out of me. I wrote her a letter, telling her that she needed to stop drinking and start going to AA because she was in trouble. She stopped and sobered up for awhile. She even went to a few AA meetings. She said that my letter had changed everything and that she carried it around in her pocket to remind her why she shouldn't drink. Well, I guess it wasn't enough. She's drinking again. I'm so worried for her that I can't sleep. She drives drunk and gets very depressed. I don't know how to help her anymore. Talking to her didn't seem to work. I don't know what to do.
