: : I have had addisons disease for 9 years. Just a few years ago I was pregenant, everything went fine. except for in the summer I had a hard time with the heat. I was dehydrated once or twice. I was considered high risk. At around my 7th month I had to go into the hospital and have my baby monitored. But to answer your ? my dr. had said that it wouldn't harm me to have a baby. I also asked if my baby would get Addison's disease from me or be harmed with the steroids that I take. I hope I answered your question well.My sister has been told she may not be able to have babies because of her Addison's disease. Is there anyone out there that has been told this and has had a child. She has not had a menstral cycle in 5 months.
: I was first diagnosed with Addisons disease 22 years ago soon after the birth of my first son. I had another son who is now 16. Nothing in my life is different because I have this condition except that I take hydrocortisone every day.
