My Grandmother has Addison's and within the last year or so has started getting "the shakes", they are uncontrollable and are very embarassing for her, the shaking is so bad that when it comes on she cannot stand up and must lie down, she looks as though she is convulsing. Her doctors have no explanation for it and don't seem to be committed to finding one. I am wondering if this may be related to Addison's? If it is, are there any treatments?: Tonda, can you tell me what kind of symptoms your daughter is having? Have you recieved results yet and if so what is the treatment? I have had Addison`s for ten years now and for the past two years I have had pain in my left hip and leg and also left arm. There is also some muscle wasting in the outside of my left leg but no real weakness. The pain is so chronic that it is hard to deal with. No doctor has determined exactly what it is. I`ve had sciatic nerve block and then later my sacroiliac joint injected but neither helped much. Deep down I feel it is connected to my addison`s, so many seem to have similar complaints. Let me know how your dtr does and I hope her doctors are able to give her some relief. : My daughter was diagnosed with Addison's in April, 1996 at the age of 14. She is now 18 and has developed a muscular disorder. The doctor's have done a muscle biopsy, abut feel that the disorder may be related to Addison's. I have not been able to locate any information on this. Does anyone know where I might find inofrmaion regarding his or do any of youhave any information regarding this?
