: to get a concrete diagnosis. I'm getting upset obviously. I have so many extreme symtoms .... nausea, mind blowing fatigue, reactions to weightlifting.... and many more. If my morning cortisol level is 5 (picograms) Isnt that enough verification to start me with treatment? Thats damn low! Now Im doing the urinary 24 levels for free cortisol and 17 ketocorticosteroids. I'm such a loser I could barely drive to get the test back to the hospital, It was a major trek and its 5 miles away My take is enough is enough....Im a compassionate and caring man and wasnt put on Earth to suffer.... This nausea and exhaustion are worse then I could ever imagine possible What did it take for others to get treatment? . which is preferable Hydrocortisone or Prednisone? Is Florinef always neccisary?Does everyone with this have the Neurally Mediated Hypotension concurrently. Does that need its own special treatment ? Any advice is appreciated Im sort of down tonight......... adios for now
My son was dianosed over 10 years ago with Addisons. It took Drs,. 2 1/2 years to find the reason for him being so sick. A hormonal test was given and also, when doing blood cbc, His potassium level was extremely high, which when you vomit extremely much, potassium levels should be very low. Ask Drs. to run test on this if you wonder about having Addisons. Sons symptons were extreme weakness, extreme vomiting until dehydrated and then hospital for 2 or 3 weeks. What a difference after being diagnosed. He takes 2 cortef pills a day, is a weight lifter, graduated from Embry Riddle Univ, with degree in aeronautical engineering and now lives in Washington Dc. doing extremely well.
