I was diagnosed 8 months ago with Addisons and am on 25mg cortef and .1 florinef. I have gained 35 lbs in this time but most of it was badly needed. I am paranoid about gaining too much more and for the last 3 months or so have maintained my weight.
I watch my carbs but not to an excess. I am eating a lot more tuna fish than ever before in my life. I drink a lot of water and most of all, I walk. Every day I walk 3 miles and some days more.
I cant live with no carbs and so am increasing my activity level and so far it is helping. Its no fun tho at all.
Do you ever wish that you were as you were before you got sick? I do, all the time.
