: I am going for testing for Addisons Dx. and one of the symptoms (which I didn't know was a symptom--is it?) is hand pain and weakness. I was surprised to read this here. Hope you (and I, through reading this) will find more info. on this. Thanks.

: : My father has been diagnosed with Addison's Disease and is taking medication. One symptom that is not improving is his hands. When he wakes up in the morning his hands are sore, weak, and the skin "feels like paper" to him. As the day goes on they feel better but are still a bit weak. Has anyone had similar symptoms involving their hand and can anything be done about it?
: : After more tests the doctors told my father that he did not have Addison's. He has Polymialgia Rheumatica. They say his hand pain may be unrelated to the polymianlgia and is probably a flare-up of arthritis, which should improve. Lately, his hands are feeling much better, so they may be right. Good luck to you.
