: does having addison's disease affect male fertility? if so to what extent.

I read a previous posting that was about addisons and infertility in women and it said that all women with addisons are incapable of getting pregnant. I asked my endocrinologist and ob/gyn if this was true and they both replied absolutely not! I would recommend you inquiring with your endocrinologist for an answer. Something else I just thought of: I asked my first endo if I could still get pregnant and he said yes but I would have to triple my cortisone while I was carrying a child! That did not sound good for me (taking that amt for 9 mos)or for a baby I would be carrying sinc addisons is a rare disorder and not enough is known about it to take a chance. We decided to be grateful for the two healthy children we had. In your case, since you are male, you would not have to be concerned. This is all that I can offer you. Good Luck!
