My Mother has been ill for a few years and now is unable to care for herself. My Father has been caring for her and now that she can no longer keep up her personal hygiene, it seems he has given up. He has started to exibit very strange behavior that is unlike him. ie: He has fallen head over heals in love with a neighbor woman who is happily married and 25 years younger (and so distraught about the situation that she called my sister to complain). He is also spend ing all their money. We tried to put some of Mom's money in a bank account that would require 3 signatures to withdraw it, so she would have money for her care, but the bank let Dad withdraw it all. Mom won't come live with us. We don't have money to have round the clock care. Is a horrible nursing home the only alternative (we don't live close by)?
