my 50th is around the corner, and altho it may not seem old to many of you out there, it is SO upsetting to me.
i live in an urban environment, and am single;many, many different monogomous relationships over the years, until recently, but never married. i have not been in a a relationship in almost a year. in the past week, 3 friends have announced engagements, one of which is my age.
feel so isolated and alone and look in the mirror, and suddenly see someone who was always thin and attractive, and NOW i have gained 20 lbs, on some medications and can NOT get rid of the weight. feeling SO unattractive and worthless and really, on the verge of giving up on ever finding a permanent and satisfying relationship. for that matter, just beginning to feel like i will never have another DATE! trying to joke about it, but actually quiet down. any suggestions for help?????
