Allergy's are a funny thing, I was never allergic to anything up untill all of a sudden i went from one cat to four. My eyes were itchy and wattery, i couldn't stop sneezing, and since then i've developed seaonal alergy's...from what i know a lot of allergy's are learned, you develop them over time. So it's more likely something that would have developed on its own rather than a reaction to a medication.
