Hi, I have a crazy question. Last year, during the summer, my daughter's legs would break out in small circular area's on the backs of her legs ONLY. This year we noticed that any jewelry she wears (which is mostly cheap costume due to her age) causes a skin reaction. If it's a ring, necklace, bracelet...it doesn't matter. Remove the jewelry - remove the problem. She then remembered last summer and the episode with her legs. She resorted to sitting on a towel at school (she was wearing shorts) and the rash went away. She mentioned to me that the chairs they use have the silver legs that are attached with a silver piece that is exposed on the surface of the seat. What metal is found in those little plastic chair legs and jewelry that could be causing such a reaction? Is nickel in jewelry?? The jewelry problem isn't just with silver tone jewelry...it's all jewelry with the exception of hypo allergenic earrings. Please help if you have any....I'm not necessarily looking for a diagnosis just general information to enlighten me before proceeding to the doctor. Thanks!
