: I am looking for proper protical for hospitals and doctors offices to follow for laytes allergy patients.
: I am treated a a military facilty where they seem to disregard my allergy. What should I look for and
: what should I demand from my providers???

: Look on the NIOSH web site. This is where I have gotten alot of info for my husband. DEMAND a latex free environment. The military facilty is not the only organization "ignoring" this problem. The reason is because not enough information is out there. My husband and I had to go to a couple of different doctors before we found one who was willing to help us find out about this allergy. People don't understand what this latex allergy is doing to people and just how dangerous it can be. Don't give up keep pushing to make everyone around you aware of the situation. That's what my husband an I are doing in our area. You would be suprised how many people ARE willing to help if you keep asking questions and talking to people. Good Luck.
