: I have multiple allergies, and when my "allergic" symptoms are the worst, I also have problems with concentration, memory, and anxiety. No doctor has ever told that these problems are all allergy-related, but it sure seems that way to me. I have a pamphlet from the American Academy of Environmental Medicine that claims that allergies can affect your brain and nervous system. You might want to check their Web site. Good luck.

I bumbled across this site again and see I have a reply :) Yeah, Doctors look at your elevated Eosinophils, ask if your family has allergies or asthma(yes to both) and then ignore their own findings and prescribe a benzodiazepine for your 'nerves'. Doctors are idiots. A smart allergist prescribed a new drug that counters Eosinophiles and it's making a difference. Anybody, reply to dreadstar@angelfire.com in case I never come across this site again :(
