: I'm not sure what to think. My 4 yr. old son has had numerous ear infections and has one set of tubes. Currently we have an appointment with an ENT because he again has the fluid built up on one ear, but no infections this time. Usually these complications are during the winter/spring months. I'm questioning if this is allergy related. He also has other symptons like red cheeks when he gets to playing hard, I have seen unusual (Hives?) on his body at times. Has anyone had a similiar situation?
My daughter had repeated ear infections until we discovered she was allergic to dairy products...she also had other symptoms ie. diarhea, sneezing and irritability. Not all of the symptoms are always present...it seems to depend on what and how much dairy she takes in. We were initially skeptical of switching to Rice dream (an alternative to cows milk) and eliminating other products like cream based soups, etc. But the results of doing that have been AMAZING! NOT ONE MORE ear infection! We have a healthy, vibrant child now!!! I did a lot of research on the internet and read about allergies to educate myself on this issue. Not once did the medical doctors that were treating her say It might be dairy products!!! Best Wishes in your search!
