I believe I have had this problem for 3 years. I also was lightheaded, slightly dizzy, ringing in the ears until severe headaches, fatigue from fighting this thing. Cough and Clearing the throat were also part of my symptoms.
I take Chlor-trimeton twice a day and it gives me about 80% relief. The allergy meds that do not work for me are the ones that don't make you sleepy because they are missing the 'brain component' (Allegra, Clariton etc.) Let me know what helps you.
