I've been experiencing this problem for over five years. I've gone to a dermatologist and allergist and they can't figure out what is causing the rashes on my lips. The condition occurs approximately once a month. I develop a rash on and around my lips. The bumps are extremely tiny. They don't itch or burn. It usually goes away after five or so days (rash will dry-up, lips peel and that's it). I thought it was the type of lipstick (MAC)that I was wearing/the vaseline until I had the same reaction while snorkeling, only worse. Then I thought it may be the mouthpiece of the snorkeling gear mixed with the salt water. The condition occurs more in the summer. I apply vaseline prior to my lipstick. I can't figure this out. Can anyone help?
