I had a very bad excema rash, and was put on oral steroids for 5 days, and then a high potency steroid cream for 2 weeks, 2xday. The rash is gone, but the derm has me using a mid-potency steroid cream (Cutivate) for 2 more weeks, 2xday to make sure.

My question is, what is considered a long time to be using topical steroids twice daily? By the time I'm done, it will have been about 26 days straight on the steroid creams, plus the 5 days I was on the oral. I don't want any health probs from this. Does this seem like a normal length of time for treatments like this?
