hi, I am allergic to sulfa. What I am wondering is if I should stay away from sulfur, and sulfites which are in wine, and other foods. It seems when I do have a glass of wine, I get some itching on my face, however, nothing compared to the hives I got when I took the sulfa medicine. How could I find more information on how the two are related. I know they use sulfur to make the sulfa medicine.
