I'm a TV producer in Washington, D.C., and am trying to interview local people with allergies -- especially those with unusual allergies, or who developed allergies only after moving to the metro DC area. This is for a series of stories that will air in July.
Can anyone here give advice on how I could best reach potential interviewees? I don't know if it's ok to post all the details here (this isn't an ad or a sales pitch -- no money is involved; it's for a "health news you can use" public-interest story), but I don't know if it's ok to go ahead and give more details here, and/or ask for volunteers.
Can anyone advise me on whether it's ok to proceed with explaining the interview process, when I can do interviews, etc. etc., or tell me a better forum to go to?
Thanks for your time.
p.s. I have painful allergies myself, so I'm very sensitive to the suffering they cause, and do not mean to intrude on your message board. Hope no one is offended.
