: i have been diagnosed as being allergic to soaps and shampoos. my symptoms are very much like a
: (prolonged) yeast infection that lasts up to two months!!! i have already discovered a laundry
: detergent, but I am desperately searching for some soap brands that I can use in the shower that will not
: affect my condition.

Hi-Try Basis soap found at Target or Sav-ON..not with regular soaps...find in the beauty section
Hunt for it. in a white box with a little pink and a little I think lime green on it. $1.99 ea. They
make facial cleansers, etc. also which are usually next to the boxed bar of soap.Works for me.
Also, your diet, use of any antibiotics, etc can make yeast infections chronic. Take a quiz in
a book to determine whether this might be the cause...The Yeast Connection by William G.
Crook, M.D. There is a one page quiz, and a better longer (but quick) quiz. Look for both.
If this is the real underlying problem, you have to be determined and stick to the diet (which
is really healthy anyway), and try to find a doctor who understands chronic candidiasis, who
might perscribe nystatin.. I had over 25 symptoms before I got the right diagnosis. and needed
the perscription for almost 3 years, and need to restrict my diet at times to keep it at bay
