Four years ago I had a very severe systemic allergic reaction to collagen lip injections. My immune system has been damaged I have been told and I do agree. As a result of this allergy I developed many different autoimmune diseases. Among them is some form of arthritis that every doctor diagnosis differently, interstitial cystitis, hypothyroidism, high sugar levels, vasculitis and possibly MS. I have not had any relief in over four years. I would be interested in knowing if anyone else has had acquired an autoimmune disease as a result of Zyderm collagen injections. Collagen literature states about 5 per thousand do develop systemic autoimmune problems or diseases as a result of collagen. But I have never been able to locate any of these people.
