I took allergy shots from the time I was a year old and for fifteen years after that. I am the youngest patient on record to receive allergy shots. I recently had a very bad recurrence again (I am now 26) and I got retested and went to take shots again. I have the same allergies now (again)as when I was a baby.
I had an allergic reaction to the weakest dose possible. (First shot). Two times. I gave up. Obviously. But don't judge me by yourself. My allergy symptoms are very bad (vomiting, dizziness, respiratory distress, non stop coughing, etc.) I've recently felt a little better (Thank God). Our weather has been really wet and rainy and now it's sunny and dry. I am allergic to most everything in the environment but the molds (I think)seem to give me these horrible symptoms, which of course are worse when it rains or when there is any type of moisture.
Well, anyway, normally I'd tell someone to give it a try. It was good for me for fifteen years, even though I'm steering clear of them now. What happened with me is really unusual, though.
