: : Kerry,
: : I am 32 and have had a post nasal drip most of my life. I have noticed it is stronger when I consume fatty foods and milk products. For the past 5 years I have been drinking a product called Barley Green. Among other possitive effects, I immediately noticed that it clears my throat right out....if taken ritually, it rids the body of toxins, thus, no more flem build up.
: Thanks for responding.
: Where would I find Barley Green? Is it a type of Tea?
: Do you know the reason for your post nasal drip, is it from Allergies?
I think my post nasal drip is from allergies to both the great outdoors (grass etc) and also to some fats such as milk. Barley green is sold through AIM, but I have found the product in some healthfood stores. The one that I use is made by Yoshihide Hagiwara, M.D. He gaurantees that his Barley leaves are processed without heat therefore it doesn't destroy the vitamin content. There is another called "green essence" that is produced for healthfood stores , if you don't know an AIM representative. There is a small booklet sold called Green Barley Essence by Yoshihide Hagiwara, M.D. for a couple of dollars that gives you the details on it's benefits. Barley green is simply made from barley leaves...the one I take had kelp and brown rice added to it. I have also seen it in pill form, but if you have flem that you have trouble getting out of your throat, the powder will work that area the best.
