I just bought a new home. Two months later we had our first good rain. The roof leaks. The carpet is soaked in spots and I can see where the water ran down the wall. Obviously I have to get the leak fixed and take up the carpet and pad. Does anyone have suggestions about how to minimize the mildew in the wood?
