In Reply to: "Is This Your Child?" Anyone read this book? posted by Mom of 5 on July 17, 2000 at 17:34:31:

: I am looking for someone who has read this and followed one of the diets to determine food allergies in their children. Also, if anyone has used the Provocation/Neutralization testing and treatment used throughout the book. We have children with various allergies, but one of our children has many food allergies and we think this may be so with another one. I have several q's for anyone that has done this. Thank you!

I read the book several times. My kids are older so I had a difficult time enforcing the diets and restrictions, and sneaking soy milk into foods. Anyway, I called Dr. Rapp's office from a telephone number in the book (I think it was in the back) She is retired but someone answered the phone and gave me the name of an Environmental Allergist in my area. We went thru the testing - son tested high positive for about 8 items. The traditional allergist told me he had no significant allergies. Treatment is the "neutralization" liguid drop under the tongue am and pm. I cant say we have been 100% faithful to the treatments but the negative behavior at school still occurs. Still looking for answers but at least found answer to the sniffing and stuffy nose. Good luck . Keep posting your progress. Kim
