The pain in your neck, is there a lump there? The reason I ask is that a few years ago I had about the same reaction. I had been given a flu shot without knowing that I was allergic to the vaccine. At first I thought I had the flu. Then a couple of days later, I had neck pain and a lump formed. I went back to the doctor and he diagnosed the flu vaccine allergy. Maybe it is something like that for you too. If not, I hope you find the offending thing soon.
