: Hi again, Ginger -
: I, like you, am not too keen on taking prescription or over-the-counter medications unless I really feel miserable. I only take the Claritin when I feel I can't take those terrible sinus headaches and that light-headed feeling. The Claritin doesn't really give me dry mouth or throat. The Claritin-D does sinse it has that decongestant that really dries you out. If you are looking for an over-the-counter med. that doesn't give you that dry mouth feeling, you may want to consider taking something with pseudoephedrine (a decongestant) and guaifenesin (an expectorant). I think they call it a "non-drying" sinus med. You can by it as a generic or a name brand. As you can see, I've tried a bunch of things to try and clear my sinuses. 8^) I also feel that my sinuses generally feel better after some physical activity (running, rollerblading, playing hockey, etc.) I hope this helps.
Bob,
Thanks for all the info. It is so helpful, and I really appreciate it. Maybe I'll look into to some of the over the counter meds. Take care.
Ginger
