: My husband has been experiencing eye puffiness and also a tingling sensation in his upper lip which will lead to a swelling in the lip. The swelling generally occurs while sleeping and is somewhat relieved in the day. Does this sound like allergy? We can't pinpoint any changes in our environment or eating habits. This occurs at random any time of the year.

:I'm curious as to whether you've found an explanation yet. I too have a very strange swelling in my eyes and hands after eating -and it mainly happens after I eat at one restaurant in particular (different foods each time). I get a strange feeling in my fingers within minutes but my eyes don't swell - to the point of looking almost disfigured- until I'm sleeping. I'm wondering if it has to do with food additives. My Dr's. only advice was to cut back on sodium and I know that's not what it is, although it may contribute. It's driving me crazy because, like this morning, my eyes are so swollen I won't leave the house until they look semi-normal. Any comments/advice/suggestions will be appreciated!
