: Little by little I have obtained allergies to fresh fruit and vegetables. An allergist told me I was probably allergice to the pesticides. Know matter how well you wash them it still penetrates. When I switched to organic and home grown it didn't seem to make a difference. Another allergist said I was probably allergic to the pulpiness???. When I eat raw fruit and veggies my throat seems to get all itchy and I get an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. The doctor had given me one of those epi-pens to administer in case I had troulbe breathing. So far that is not the case. My problem is that I need to go on a diet. Without fresh fruits and veggies this makes it very hard. I can eat the can or frozen but it just doesn't fill you up like FRESH! Any suggestions???

yah, I might be alittle help. Just a bit of back round info first. Just like you, I am allergic to all fruits and grapes, all wheats and breads, milk, cornsyrup, and chocolate. And on top of all that, I am not very fondof meat. I am only 17 and officially discovered my allergies when I was 2 1/2. When I have an "attack" my throat gets that itchy feeling in it too. That is our throat swelling and reacting to what ever it is in the food we allergic to. I have studied allergies for some school projects and found out some really cool stuff. Many people call allergies- ammmune system gone wrong. "Normal" people's bodies produce antibodyies to protect them from harmful diseases and what not, but ours on the other hand, produces antibodies to protect us from normal everyday substances! That is why when we get a simple thing like the flu we get it so much worse than what other do. Our body doesn't have the right weapons to fight. Your lesson for the day-ha ha. Both me and my dad have both allergies and asthma. And we go through everything together, it sure is nice to have someone to suffer with. As for your guestion about what to eat when you go on a diet, I really don't know what to tell you because I have never bitten into a fresh, raw apple or banana or watermelon. I have never expecienced that to miss it. People give me the funnest looks when I say that don't know what an apple tastes like, but hay that my life and i love it. Any more questions?!?!?
